Malt Soup Extract
The cellulose content of Malt Soup Extract classifies it as a Bulk Forming Fiber Laxative . Bulk laxatives absorb liquid in the intestines and swell to form a soft bulky stool. The bulky mass stimulates the intestinal muscles speeding stool transit time through the colon. Malt Soup Extract will not work as a bulking forming laxative without increased fluid intake. Malt Soup Extract contains a significant amount of the sugar maltose, a disaccharide that may have an osmotic action in the colon. Read more about the actions and effects of disaccharides under Lactulose. Results usually occur within twelve to seventy two hours.
